Description

A simple A4 weekly schedule, with one column for on a daily basis. It comes with a selection of 24 symbols for common weekly activities. Symbols included are: 5 x school, 4 x home, 3 x respite, doctor, dentist, hospital, circle of relatives, friend, party, sports, swim, clean room, surprise, cinema, shop. This is step one in the individual planning their own week, thinking about the long term fairly than just the ‘here and now’. This is a vital step as a way to independence. This board can be used with your existing PECS system. This product, like all our products, used to be inspired by one of the crucial difficulties we now have gone through in raising our own autistic son through the years, and includes a large number of strategies that have helped him to deal with one of the crucial challenges life can bring.
Following feedback from our customers, all images are now larger, 4cm squares, making them easy to see at the same time as still being a good size to hold and use.
Created from plastic for increased durability. Waterproof, resistant to grease and can’t be torn. You’ll be able to, on the other hand, write at the plastic to personalise if you would like.
Boards and 24 symbols all come with good quality sticky backed Velcro, pre applied so products may be able to be used instantly upon receipt.
All corners have been rounded to reduce the likelihood of scratches.
We use only Mayer-Johnson PECs images (used with permission). These are the most frequently used symbols with ASD, meaning the individual won’t wish to learn several symbols for a similar thing. Generalising concepts by the use of several different specific photos for a similar thing in different settings is something that many of us with ASD find hard to deal with.
