Have you ever wondered what makes Atomic FireBalls so hot? They are made with cinnamon, which is a strong-flavored spice, but not a particularly HOT spice, right? The secret ingredient in Atomic FireBalls is —psst! — capsicum, the compound that makes hot peppers hot. According to the manufacturer, Atomic FireBalls rate 3500 on the Scoville scale, which is used to measure the spiciness of peppers. That puts Atomic FireBalls into the range of jalapeños when it comes to sweet heat.
